Foreign-Trade Zone Board Renumbers Sites Within New Orleans Area FTZ No. 2
December 4, 2009FTZ #2, which was approved on July 16, 1946, currently comprises 24 “sites” totaling some 1301.74 acres in the New Orleans area. The Foreign-Trade Zones Board is revising the numbering of the sites within the zone to split the unrelated, non-contiguous sites now encompassed within Site 5. Specifically, the FTZ Board is renumbering the 37 “parcels” within Site 5, located at or adjacent to the Port of New Orleans, as Sites 25 thru 61. The designation Site 5 will be eliminated. According to the board, the other existing sites will not be affected.
Details of the renumbered sites can be found in the Federal Register (PDF).
